What inspired you to join the obé fam?
I discovered obé by following Megan Roup on Instagram! I was curious about her routines and I tried her classes here and there, but didn’t do it regularly. Fast forward a few months to when I joined the #LevelUp Holiday Challenge and thought to myself, “hey this works!”
I found the support from the other people in the Private Facebook Group much more motivating than I had expected. I am a single parent with two kids under 10 and I also work full time. I am able to fit in my exercise before I take my kids to school and go to work it’s pretty much essential. I couldn’t ask for anything more!
What’s your favorite thing about obé?
The camaraderie and the encouragement that I receive from the group and the instructors. Also, the exercises push me out of my comfort zone and I like to be challenged.
What are your fitness goals and what motivates you to stick to them?
Originally, my intention was to lose weight. But, as I began to get into a routine of exercising on a regular basis I discovered quite a few things serendipitously. I noticed I was stronger and had more endurance, I was more focused at work and genuinely happier. While I haven’t fully achieved my original goals, I am finding the experience to be much more rewarding then I honestly thought possible. This wasn’t just a resolution, but a positive lifestyle change. It’s true what they say, what’s important is the journey not the destination!
What’s your IG handle, so we can all follow your obé journey?
@Spicycurvy…you can see me cursing Melody Davi there! JK!
What’s something you’re currently obséssed with?
Murder mysteries! I am into shows about mysteries, mystery-themed boardgames, mystery podcasts, and I love to investigate things and by things I mean crimes. My kids don’t get away with anything and yes I have an extra eye in the back of my head. I’m also into candles. I like to be surrounded by pleasant aromas, especially after I do obé!
Which class are we most likely to hear your name?
Define and Sweat, I like to switch things up. I surprise my body all the time! I think you can tell by now that I’m a big fan of Melody and Madelaine! M2M
Anything else the obé fam should know about you?
I take my karaoke very seriously and by seriously I mean, I do more acting/dancing than singing. Big surprise, I’m Asian! Not crazy and rich tho!
