What inspired you to join the obé fam?
I teach music at Soulshine Arts in Middlebury CT. I was a “gym rat” for years before my two children! When I had my second child it made it difficult to get to the gym. My girlfriend @jafailla recommended that I try obé. I took a class with Peter Tucci and was hooked. Now my two kids know when I put my headphones on and they see obé, it’s mommy’s workout time. Sometimes they even join in!
What’s your favorite thing about obé?
My favorite thing about obe is the motivation and encouragement we get from the instructors! And that I can favorite workouts to do anytime.
What are your fitness goals and what motivates you to stick to them?
My motivation is the aging process. It scares to think that someone could tell me to “age gracefully!” I say no thanks. Give me muscle tone and a tight booty and I’m set for years.
What’s something you’re currently obséssed with?
I am currently obsessed with trying to eat vegetarian or vegan twice a week. I’ve always been into food but this is a new direction for me. Also Raw Shea butter for my skin and keratin treatments for my hair. Little changes make huge differences!
Which class are we most likely to hear your name?
Well my obé journey began with Peter Tucci so I am tried-and-true to him! But I do love a little Walter booty on the side, with a sprinkle of Isaac torched. All three of these gentlemen are amazing and have given me results that are beyond!
Anything else you want the the obé fam to know?
After having two children and being in my 40’s I have lost 70+ pounds in two years. There’s no “quick fix” to a healthy lifestyle. Changes come from commitment and determination. Success comes from lifestyle changes, positive thinking, and finding what works for you. Do I skip days ….yes, do I have bad days….yes, but I keep going. obé has helped me with this process and I’m truly grateful.
