What inspired you to join the obé fam?
I had been doing barre everyday for a year and a half when I heard about obé on the WeHeardWhat?! podcast. I started the one week trial about 7 months ago, canceled my barre membership and never looked back!
In what ways has obé helped you both mentally and physically?
I think it’s so important to find what works for you and your body. Growing up, I was a dancer for 15 years and stayed pretty fit all through college. After college, I broke my foot and for the first time really struggled with finding exercise that I both enjoyed and that kept me in shape. I was doing barre classes, spin classes and running multiple times a week and was not seeing the results I wanted. With obé, I do one 28 minute class a day and alternate between Sculpt and Dance. These two classes have been the perfect pair for me and now I actually really enjoy working out.
obé is really so much more than just a fitness app, you have a community of users and trainers that share fitness and health tips that really permeate into every facet of your life. A couple of weeks ago, I was doing a virtual interview for business school and to get rid of some nervous energy, I put on a Megan R. sculpt class, took a big sip of water towards my 100 oz a day goal (thanks Madelaine O.) and reflected on a question that Sarah G. asks in every class, “what is your why?” And after all that, I felt more at ease and ready to interview for business school, which I am so happy to say I got into!
What are your fitness goals and what motivates you to stick to them?
I really try to take a class every day and the changes I see in my body are what motivate me to keep coming back. Hello long, lean lines!
What’s something you’re currently obséssed with?
I love trying different health and wellness tips and one that I have come to love is putting my feet up on the wall for 20 mins at the end of the day. It really helps with swelling and circulation.
Which class are we most likely to hear your name?
Sculpt and Dance with Megan R, Sarah G and Madelaine O. I have done every one of their on-demand classes and love to catch them live on the weekends. I also just started Adam D’s sculpt replays and they are such a good challenge!
